12 Hours of John Muir

Team Vesrah Brakes had Mark McCrimmon start 12 Hours of John Muir. On his first lap Mark led the race briefly, but let two Duo teams pass figuring it would be a long day of racing. Mark handed the open team lead and third overall to Neil Swanson. Neil was added in place of Mark Junge who was busy with some Team Vesrah Suzuki bike preparations for Utah. Neil was a welcome addition to the team and put down a very fast lap to take the over all lead on his first lap. Notably later in the race Neil set the best lap time for the race with a 46.34. Neil put Vesrah six minutes ahead as he passed the torch to Ken Melville. Ken continued to put the pressure on second place Kibosch by extending Team Vesrahs lead. Next to ride was Mike Laney who with some slight trail confusion was able to hold the overall lead. Team Vesrah Brakes continued distancing themselves from second place and finished the race approximately fourteen minutes ahead of second place Kibosch. Team Vesrah Completed 14 laps in 11 hours 43 minutes logging 151.2 miles with an average speed of 12.89 mph with an elevation gain of 12,838 feet. Team Vesrah goes two for two in the series and is looking forward to round three.
